Following the success of the most adorable game in the market PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, a report says that the developer Brendan Greene, PlayerUnknown himself, is not interested or looking forward to developing a sequel of the game.
In one of the recent interviews, Greene talked about the challenges that he faced with his teammates while creating PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds(PUBG). Greene, during the interview, said that the video game that they had created had not only changed the entire gaming industry but has opened ways for a number of titles including Fortnite and Apex Legends. Greene made it very clear that though he loved the growth that the game achieved throughout the world, he is not looking forward to coming up with a sequel.
Greene, in one of the statements, mentioned that he besides working on PUBG will now move towards “Special Projects” and he with his teammates will develop many different titles and other cool stuff in the coming months. He also shared that a part of his team will look after the future developments and updates of the PUBG so that the graph of growth would always be on the positive side.
“It’s been wonderful — and there’s more coming. It’s a good genre that has space to grow — the last man standing deathmatches, there are so many different takes you can have on that. I’m still waiting for a For Honor battle royale, something with big, big knives,” Greene says.
“They have the reins of battle royale, they know what PUBG and our battle royale is, they understand what we want from the game and what we want to do to it moving forward, so I saw it as a good chance for me to announce Special Projects.”
